Liberate Map & Other Big Changes V0.3.5
Good morning! I have some exciting updates to share to make the gameplay experience more diverse and finally, end!
You can now finally destroy the tower on a hexagon to liberate it, in doing so will allow more resources to spawn on that hexagon. This will be more useful in future updates where there are more hexagons so you can get more resources quicker if you need to. Also, in terms of completing the gameplay loop, you can now die. Since you don't have much going for you at the moment, I've decided to give you the choice to restart the game or exit. Of course, as saving becomes a thing I will change these options to have a "Load From Save" button instead of these two options. Overall, I'm excited for this update because it sets us up for the future of the game!
Big Changes:
- Random resources now spawn on hexagons controlled by the player (every 2 minutes (this is subject to change))
- The robot tower has a forcefield that you can deactivate by making a USB Shield Killer, having it equipped in your inventory, walk to the black box behind the tower and manually deactivating it.
- Robot buildings can now be destroyed.
- When the robot building is destroyed, it spawns the resources it's holding into the world (it sorta explodes)
- Hexagons can be liberated upon destroying the robot tower put on it.
- USB Shield Killer can be crafted on the craft bench
- The force field around the robot tower can be deactivated if the player has the USB Shield Killer in their inventory and they click on the black box at the back of the robot tower
- Robot Smelter
- Robot Item Assembler
- The tower can Change the Resource Fabricator's, Item Assembler's, and Smelter's respective tasks so they can produce different things.
- Overhaul on the system that governs the above actions.
- Worker robots hold the item's they carry.
- Player can die!!!!!!!!!
Small Changes:
- Fabricators now receive commands from the tower on what to produce rather than just producing.
- The maximum Infantry Robot capacity of one Command Tower has been increased from 10 to 20
- The maximum Worker Robot capacity of one Command Tower has been increased from 1 to 3
- Infantry Robot's bullet spread has been decreased to 1
- Infantry Robot's bullet holding capacity has been increased to 30
- Infantry Robot's don't need to stand inside the ammo box to receive ammo
- Infantry Spawners now take robot parts to produce units (before they used iron ore)
- When manually mining Ore, the ore deposit shrinks and a sound is played.
- Ore flies out of the deposit when mining manually.
- Players can now pickup ore by manually touching it or, in other words, walking over it.
Bug Fixes:
- Conveyors can now be placed on deposits
- Buildings can no longer be placed on ores
- Players cannot place building on their heads
- When pressing shift and clicking on an inventory space, the item in that inventory space disappears.
- When the pistol is being held in the hand the pistol is taken out via the inventory, the pistol remains in the hand and cannot be unequipped.
Footnote:
Hopefully I can get one more good update out before I ship off to basic training in the army. If I can't do this (which is unlikely at the moment) I hope this update is enough to keep you guys having fun! Thank you for playing my game!
