Scout Robot And Map Update! (V 0.3.4)
In this update I introduce to you the scout robot! This robot will search around the map to find player buildings. When found it will report back to it's command tower and transmit the location of the building it saw. The tower will task infantry robots to raid that area. If you want to prevent these robots from seeing your buildings, simply shoot at them when they get a little too close!
In addition, I added pentagons for the map. They just hold everything up for now but in the next update when you destroy all the robots on a pentagon it will turn green and spawn more resources for you!
Last but not least, sounds are finally being added to the game slowly but surely. I am attempting to make all the sounds myself, even the music.
Update Log:
Big Changes:
- Iron and coal deposits will shrink over time when being mined from by drills.
- Robot Scouts
- Settings Menu
- Ambient music and other sounds.
Small Changes:
- Players can place multiple conveyors in one direction (rip my brain)
- Infantry Robots will return to base upon wondering too far whilst not being in an attack party.
- Infantry Robots have spread. A bias of 2 in any 3d direction in relation to the target's position.
- Infantry Robots do damage to the player (they'll kill you in a future update though)
- Buildings now have particle effects when placed
- Player can manually mine ore from deposits
- Conveyors move items a little faster
- The Infantry Robots detection radius has been reduced from 70 to 60
- Guns no longer reload if there are no bullets in the inventory
Squashed Bugs:
- When deleting a building some of the building remains
- Robots stand still and don't fire when the player leaves their kill radius, despite having line-of-sight.
- Player shoots gun when the inventory is open.
- Bullets bounce off of robot and hit doesn't register. The bullet now casts a ray forward to test if it will hit something in addition to the traditional method of using colliders on the objects.
- The player's inventory will one in-front of the building's inventory

Robot Infantry Changes:
- Can receive orders from the control tower to attack a building
- Attacks player buildings
Settings Menu:
- Ambient Volume Slider
- V-Sync Option
- Target Frame Rate Input
- Mouse Sensitivity
- *These settings are saved
Robot Tower:
- Receive scout reports
- 5 Infantry will be gathered upon receiving a scout report
- Upon successful grouping, these infantry robots will attack an area until no buildings are left or they run out of ammo.

With this new AI and functionalities being added I fully expect there to be bugs. Please feel free to get in contact with me if you find any so I can add them to the Trello board and get them figured out!
